Anuran Frogs use diverse senses to communicate, such as sight, touch, hearing, olfact, and even seismic or vibrational sensing. All these senses are under study in our lab. |
Wildlife diseases Frogs are threatened by widespread diseases, caused by viruses and fungi. Our lab is trying to understand their evolution, distribution and ecology, both in wild and captive amphibians. Most of the survey takes place in the Atlantic rainforest. |
Toads on islands Tropical islands hosts several species of toads, both native or introduced ones. Our studies aim describing the implications of such recent or past island colonizations. |
